I can visit Enchanted Rock on a whim. If you aren't jealous, you should be. This evening, there were two cars in the park, and I saw no people. The balmy wind blew from the southeast up the face of the Rock at eighteen mph. Eleven turkey vultures flew together, very close to the Rock, and close to me, as close as twenty feet. Sprinkles of moisture came from nearby storm clouds, colors abounded with the setting sun. A tall buck led a group of does down the trail. Mondays at E Rock can be pure magic!
